City of Roseville — 2012 Budget <br />As shown in the above table, Roseville has the lowest property tax burden amongst cities within the <br />metro area that serve a population between 25,000 and 45,000. Even with the property tax levy increase <br />of 1.8 %. Roseville would still remain the lowest taxed City for this comparison group. <br />If an expanded comparison were made to include all cities in the metro area that serve a population in <br />excess of 10,000, Roseville would have the 11th lowest taxes out of 62 cities. The tax burden on <br />Roseville homeowners has consistently remained below the average for this peer group. This is <br />summarized in the chart below. <br />In 1995, Roseville's tax rate was 15% lower than the peer average. In 2000, Roseville's tax rate was <br />21% lower than the average.
