You can plant a raingarden at home to catch runoff from your rooftop, driveway <br />or street. Raingardens are an excellent way to beautify your landscape while attracting <br />birds and butterflies. <br />Raingardens g 3' <br />♦ Attract mosquitoes <br />s Hold water more than 2 days <br />Require more maintenance than other gardens <br />♦ Cost lots of money �. <br />Each participant will receive a free copy of "The Blue Thumb Guide to Raingardens" <br />(an $18 value!) Cost to attend is only $10. <br />Do you live on one of the many lakes, streams, ponds, or wetlands in the area? <br />Want to improve your property value, and reduce erosion? <br />♦ Tired of geese all over your yard? <br />♦ Interested in protecting and enhancing your local water resources? <br />Join us for an evening of education and fun at the Shoreline Restoration Workshop! <br />Each participant will receive a free copy of "Landscaping for Wildlife and Water Quality" <br />(a $20 value!). Cost to attend is only $10. <br />Have you installed a raingarden or restored your shoreline but need to learn how to main- <br />tain your project so it continues to flourish and look beautiful? Join us for this fun work- <br />shop where we will go over the basics for maintenance on these types of projects.
