Update Education and Outreach Activities for 2012 <br />At the request of Chair Miller, Mr. Petersen reported on the GLWMO Board's partnership with <br />the Vadnais Lakes Area WMO (VLAWMO) for a rain garden workshop held in early April, with <br />one (1) GLWMO resident from Lake Wabasso attending; and another workshop held shortly <br />thereafter on shoreline restoration with three (3) GLWMO residents attending. <br />Mr. Petersen advised that the GLWMO would be invoiced by the VLAWM e near future; <br />and noted the value of this educational outreach at a minimal cost to GLWMO through <br />partnering with the VLAWMO <br />Mr. Petersen anticipated an additional workshop scheduled for ly May int ance of <br />native vegetation, of vital interest; and advised his intent to co u icate with e Owasso <br />Homeowners Association and other network options to ens MO residents ere aware of <br />this opportunity. <br />Mr. Petersen also reported that the Lake Owasso t etro -fit study, that the RCD is <br />currently implementing on behalf of the GLWMO, was n completion and that he will have <br />a draft available for the Board at the May 17'b meeting. <br />d.
