<br />City of Roseville <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1346 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 508, SECTION 02, OF THE CITY <br />CODE, ADDING A SECTION DONATION OF UNCLAIMED BICYCLES <br /> <br />THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE ORDAINS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1: Title 508, Section 02 of the Roseville City Code is amended <br />to read as follows: <br /> <br />The Chief of Police is further authorized to administer the disposal of bicycles <br />lawfully coming into possession of the City and remaining unclaimed by the <br />owner after a 60 day waiting period. In addition to the disposal methods provided <br />in Roseville City Ordinance Section 508.01. disposal of unclaimed bicycles may <br />be a donation to a nonprofit organization that has a significant mission of <br />community service or to another public corporation for the public use. <br /> <br />A notice specifying the date of the donation. the identity of the donee. and a <br />general description of the bicycles shall be published in a newspaper of general <br />circulation throughout Roseville at least six months prior to such a donation. At <br />any time prior to the donation date. and upon satisfactory proof of ownership. the <br />bicycle shall be returned to its owner. <br /> <br />SECTION 2: Effective date. This ordinance shall take effect upon its <br />passage and publication. <br /> <br />Passed by the City Council of the City of Roseville this 9 day of April 2007. <br />
