Resolution -Resolution of Appreciation for Superintendent Jan Witthuhn's Distinguished Service to Mounds View School District Mayor Klausing read a resolution of appreciation for Superintendent Jan Witthuhn's Distinguished Service to Mounds View School Dis- trict. On behalf of the City Council, staff and the community, Mayor Klausing thanked Dr. Witthuhn and wished her well in her retirement. Pust moved, Ihlan seconded, adoption of Resolution No. 10501 enti- tled, "Resolution of Appreciation for Superintendent Jan Witthuhn's Distinguished Service to Mounds View School District ". Councilmember Kough wished the incoming Superintendent, Dan Hoverman well in his new position as Mounds View School District Superintendent. Roll Call Ayes: Roe; Kough; Ihlan; Pust and Klausing. Nays: None. b. Resolution -Resolution Endorsing the U.S. Mayors Climate Pro- tection Agreement City Manager Bill Malinen, at the request of Mayor Klausing, pro- vided background information on the City's status as a "Cool City" and formally presented a resolution endorsing the U.S. Mayor's Cli- mate Protection Agreement as amended by the 73rd annual U. S. Con- ference of Mayors meeting. Mayor Klausing requested City staff, City Advisory Commissions and the Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) to consider initia- tives and to make recommendations on activities that the City of Roseville could undertake to help meet "Cool Cities" standards. Roe moved, Kough seconded, adoption of Resolution No. 10502 enti- tled, "Resolution Endorsing US Mayors Climate Protection Agree- ment ". Roseville Area High School Earth Group Environmental Project stu- dents, Kai Briash and Katie Salvatore accepted the resolution from Mayor Klausing. On behalf of the City Council, staff and community,
