AttachmentB <br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />1Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />th <br />2Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held on the 9 day of July, 2012, at 6:00 <br />3 p.m. <br />4 <br />5The following members were present: ; and and the following members were absent: . <br />6 <br />7Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />8 <br />RESOLUTION No. <br />9 <br />10 <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF FEASIBILITY REPORT <br />11 <br />FOR PROJECT NO. 13-08 WHEELER AVENUE CLOSURE <br />12 <br />13 <br />14WHEREAS, the Council has received a petition from the property owners living along Wheeler <br />15Avenue and Shorewood Lane, between County Road D and Lydia Avenue, requesting that the City <br />16permanently disconnect Wheeler Avenue from County Road D; <br />17 <br />18WHEREAS, this improvement will include bituminous paving, concrete curb and gutter, driveway <br />19reconstruction, storm sewer, and necessary appurtenances, and; <br />20 <br />21WHEREAS, the construction and installation costs of major traffic management strategies are <br />22assessed to the benefited property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to <br />23Minnesota Statutes, Section 429.011 to 429.111: <br />24 <br />25NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota: <br />26 <br />27That the proposed improvement, City Project 13-08, is referred to the City Engineer for study and <br />28she is instructed to report to the Council with all convenient speed, advising the Council in a <br />29preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible; <br />30whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement; the <br />31estimated cost of the improvement as recommended; and a description of the methodology used to <br />32calculate individual assessments for affected parcels. <br />33 <br />34The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member and <br />35upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted <br />36against the same: <br />37 <br />38WHEAREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br /> <br />
