The adjustments <br />60 <br />stem from the best information known or anticipated from the metro labor market, labor <br />61 <br />settlements, and consumer price index. <br />62 <br />63 <br />The City’s compensation policy objectives include: <br />64 <br />65 <br />Internal Equity – maintaining a compensation and benefit package that is as consistent as <br />66 <br />possible between the City’s three union and two non-union groups. <br />67 <br />68 <br />External Equity- maintaining compensation and benefits packages that are equivalent to <br />69 <br />comparable cities for comparable positions. <br />70 <br />71 <br />BI <br />UDGETMPLICATIONS <br />72 <br />This proposed package will cost the City a total of $3,750 beyond what was approved or <br />73 <br />proposed by the Council for the two year contract term. <br />74 <br />Page 2 of 4 <br /> <br />
