Girdle aspen April to <br />June with girdling spud (see invasive <br />species control Appendix). <br />CP -U1 <br />Install <br />Medium -high <br />$100 -500 <br />This high profile area is a great place to <br />interpretive <br />depending on <br />install interpretive signage that explains the <br />signage <br />size and quantity <br />natural communities present, what <br />of signage <br />management is being conducted, and why <br />natural areas are an important part of <br />Central Park and Roseville <br />Community CP -U2 <br />Floodplain Forest <br />Qualitative Rank: CD <br />Nonnative Shrub Rank: 13 <br />This floodplain forest is found along the south part of Bennett Lake in a narrow strip between the <br />lakeshore and a neighborhood street. The most common trees in the somewhat broken canopy <br />are cottonwood and boxelder that average 20 and 10 inches in diameter, respectively. Other less <br />common trees include American elm, black willow, bur oak, and the nonnative weeping willow. <br />The shrub layer is mostly dominated by native species characteristic for this community type. <br />The most common are red osier dogwood, boxelder saplings, green ash, common elder, and <br />black currant. Also found here occasionally are a few nonnative shrub species, including <br />European buckthorn and Tartarian honeysuckle. <br />City of Roseville 87 <br />Parks Natural Resource Management <br />
