Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Date: July 24, 2012 <br />Item Description: Communication Items <br />Item No: 4 <br />Projects update- <br />* Josephine Woods— The Developer has installed the pathway connection from the <br />end of the cul- de- sac to Josephine Road. <br />o Josephine Lift Station— Work is anticipated to start after Labor Day and be <br />complete by September 30. <br />o Rice Street Reconstruction Phase 2- Staff continues to meet with Ramsey County <br />regarding this project. The project has been delayed to at least 2014. Recent <br />discussion focuses on project scope, funding, and schedule challenges due to <br />MnDOT's proposed work on 35E from 2013 -2015. <br />0 2012 Pavement Management Project- the first lift of bituminous has been placed <br />in the neighborhood west of Har Mar, . Watermain replacement work has begun <br />on Lydia. For more information go to: www.cityofroseville.com/2012PMP <br />• Fairview Pathway, Phase 1- The contractor has started work on the final portions <br />of this phase of the project. Work to be completed in the neat 4 weeks: bike lane <br />striping, work on Gortner Avenue, and warranty work. <br />• Fairview Pathway, Phase 2- This project is out for bid and anticipated to be <br />awarded in August with construction commencing shortly thereafter. <br />• Skillman Drainage improvements- City staff has been working with the Roseville <br />School District, who has committed to partnering with the City to implement a <br />flood reduction project on the Fairview Community Center property. The <br />proposed improvements involve the construction of a rate control storm water <br />pond at the southeast corner of the Fairview Community Center property, near the <br />Skillman cul de sac. The pond will be constructed on non -play areas; no field use <br />will be lost. This pond will hold water during rain events only; it will not be <br />designed to hold a permanent pool of water. This project is currently out to bid, <br />and will be constructed in late August/ early September. <br />• Staff is working on final plans for the following projects: <br />• Waterman lining project <br />Recommended Action: <br />None <br />Attachments: <br />A. <br />
