Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Date: July 24, 2012 <br />Item Description: Complete Streets Policy Discussion <br />Item No: 7 <br />Background: <br />At the May 22 meeting, the commission discussed developing a complete streets policy for the <br />City of Roseville. Comments regarding the policy centered on finding a policy that was <br />consistent with Ramsey County, MnDOT and our surrounding communities. <br />In addition, the commission asked for more information on other policies. There was discussion <br />about members completing their own online searches to assist in this discussion. To help out, <br />here are some helpful links: <br />• Ramsey County Policy: Does not have a Complete Sreets Policy. Complete streets policy consists of the <br />following policies/ laws: Bicycle Bill (1971), State Transportation Planning Rule Goal <br />12, Portland Transportation Goal, Street Classifications Policy, Bicycle Policy, and <br />Public Facilities Policies. <br />Attached to this report is a draft Complete Streets Policy for the City of Roseville.
