<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 10th day of November, <br />1997, at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Maschka, Goedeke, Wiski, and Acting Mayor Mastel, <br />and the following were absent: Mayor Wall. <br /> <br />Member Wiski introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9484 <br /> <br />IN RECOGNITION OF VERN PETERSON'S SERVICE <br />TO AMM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Vern Peterson has served as Executive Director of the Association of <br />Metropolitan Municipalities (AMM) for 23 years; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Vern's leadership has been instrumental In developing AMM into the <br />respected municipal organization it is today; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Vern has been an effective advocate for municipal finance reform assuring <br />metro cities are treated fairly; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Vern's efforts strengthened good government principles and served as a <br />spearhead for effective government reform; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED, that the Roseville City Council extends to Vern <br />Peterson its appreciation for his distinguished service to the Association of Metropolitan <br />Municipalities and wishes him a fulfilling retirement. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member <br />Goedeke, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Maschka, Goedeke, Wiski, and Mastel, and the following voted against the same: None. <br /> <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
