Level of Collaboration: <br />Collaboration for this project has been documented throughout this application. <br />The successful transition of the Master Plan to a Renewal Program took commitment from <br />Council leadership, professional direction from administration and staff and incredible energy <br />from community volunteers. The collaboration visual is that of a <br />a·zÝ·;7r 9¦Þ;©;7 7 /z··;7 Ò·;;© 7 /Òz·ä a;, <br />{Ò¦¦©·zÝ; /Ò-z 7 t©E;z {·EE <br /> ¦7·;7 a·;© t <br />Community Support: <br />Community support was demonstrated on numerous levels. <br />217 Roseville residents volunteered to serve on the Citizen Organizing Teams (10) and <br /> <br />Implementation Work Groups (207). <br />w;Ýz;x /z·ä /Ò-z EÒ7;7 ·w; a·;© tan implementation process (outside of <br /> <br />adopted annual budget) and authorized the first-ever Parks and R <br />community survey. <br />A professionally administered Interest and Opinion Survey validation for the Master Plan <br /> <br /> <br />recommendations and provided direction and support for project planning and funding <br />options. <br />50.6% of those receiving the 2011 Community Survey completed and returned it. <br /> <br />o <br />90% of respondents indicated they used or visited a Roseville park over <br /> <br />the previous 12 months <br />82% indicated they used Roseville walking and biking trails in t <br /> <br />months <br />69% of respondents indicated they would support increasing property <br /> <br />taxes up to $8 per month to improve the parks and recreation system <br />2,300 people attended fifteen Discover Your Parks events to learn more about the <br /> <br /> <br />Renewal Program and share their dreams and interests for their P <br />system. <br />Community members attended Council meetings to voice their support during public <br /> <br /> <br />comment and public hearings <br />Council members elected to issue General Obligation bonds to finance improvements <br /> <br /> <br />E© ¦©;-· ©z·ä E -z·zé;x Ò¦¦©·u <br />Why the project is deserving of an MRPA Award of Excellence: <br />This project is deserving of the MRPA Award of Excellence because volunteer initiative is the <br />©; w;Ýz;x /z·ä /Ò-z allocated $19.025M in General Obligation bonds to fund the first <br />6 <br /> <br /> <br />
