The Organizing Team became the face and voice <br />of the implementation research and development <br />process. They pursued an aggressive time line to <br />maintain community momentum and capitalize on <br />community support. They were regular presenters <br />at Council meetings; requesting support, <br />resources and guidance, reporting findings and <br />input and recommending direction and funding <br />options. <br />The Organizing Team also; <br />Established a network of volunteer support <br /> <br />€ <br />including the creation of five <br />Implementation Work Groups to align with <br />identified Master Plan implementation <br />processes and development areas. <br />Organizing Team members took on <br />leadership roles and recruited over 200 <br />community members from neighborhood <br />networks, affiliated organizations and interested residents. <br />Administered a statistically valid community survey and reported <br /> <br />€ <br />community. The survey outcomes provided direction, identified pr <br />established a level of support for funding. <br />Hosted fifteen community events to inform <br /> <br />€ <br />residents on the implementation process <br />and provide opportunities for input <br />through open community dialogue. <br />Recommended funding and project <br /> <br />€ <br />approaches and formulated funding stages. <br />In the end, the Organizing Team; <br />Educated the community and council on <br /> <br />€ <br />the value and benefits of a well maintained parks and recreation <br />Established a model for community engagement to gather input and provide direction <br /> <br />€ <br />Earned a high level of trust from the community and council through the efforts made <br /> <br />€ <br />to engage others in the process <br />Secured $19.025M in funding to address immediate maintenance needs and revitalize <br /> <br />€ <br />an aging park-system <br />Project Planning Process: <br /> <br />€ <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
