Attachment G
EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
1
th
of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 27 day of August 2012 at 6:00
2
p.m.
3
The following Members were present: ___________;
4
and _____ were absent.
5
Council Member ______ introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
6
RESOLUTION NO. _____
7
A RESOLUTION APPROVING OUTDOOR STORAGE OF MOTOR VEHICLES AS AN
8
INTERIM USE AT 2755 LONG LAKE ROAD (PF12-010)
9
WHEREAS, MidAmerica Auctions has applied for approval of the proposed
INTERIM USE
10
in conjunction with C.P. Roseville Real Estate Holding Company, LLC, owner of the property at
11
2755 Long Lake Road,; and
12
WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission held the public hearing regarding the
13
proposed on August 1, 2012, voting 6-0 to recommend approval of the use based on
INTERIM USE
14
the comments and findings of the staff report prepared for said public hearing; and
15
WHEREAS, the Roseville City Council has determined that approval of the proposed
16
will not result in adverse impacts to the surrounding properties based on the
INTERIM USE
17
following findings:
18
a.
The proposed will not impose additional costs on the public if it is
INTERIM USE
19
necessary for the public to take the property in the future because the outdoor storage of
20
motor vehicles represents essentially the same land use as the former motor vehicle
21
dealership and thus would not have any negative effects to the properties involved that
22
would not occur from the permitted use of the property as a motor vehicle dealership;
23
b.
The does not constitute an excessive burden on streets, parks, or
INTERIM USE
24
other facilities because the proposed outdoor storage of motor vehicles is a rather passive
25
land use; and
26
c.
The proposed outdoor storage of motor vehicles is practically equivalent to a
27
permitted motor vehicle dealership in that location, and surrounding land uses within the
28
same RB District include motor vehicle dealerships, a commercial vehicle repair facility,
29
and a consumer tire store/vehicle repair shop; the adjacent Office/Business Park District
30
includes a commercial bakery and multi-tenant office and warehouse properties; and the
31
Industrial District west of the property is home to a petroleum storage facility; thus, the
32
proposed will not be injurious to the surrounding neighborhood or otherwise
INTERIM USE
33
harm the public health, safety, and general welfare.
34
