The Act eestablishes a framework for the deveelopment <br />14 <br />of a mmulti-jurisdictional Counnty Hazard MMitigation Plan. The Actt, as part of tthe planningg <br />15 <br />proceess, requires public invollvement andd local coorddination amoong neighborring local unnits of <br />16 <br />goverrnment and bbusinesses.TThe Ramseyy County plaan includesaa risk assessmment includiing past <br />17 <br />hazarrds, hazards that threatenn the Countyy, an estimatee of structurres at risk, a general desccription <br />18 <br />of lannd uses, and developmennt trends. It aalso includess a mitigatioon strategy inncluding goaals and <br />19 <br />objecctives and ann action plann identifying specific mittigation projects and cossts. The plan includes <br />20 <br />a maiintenance orr implementaation processs including pplan updatess, integrationn of the plan into <br />21 <br />otherr planning doocuments, annd how Rammsey County will maintaiin public parrticipation annd <br />22 <br />coorddination. <br />23 <br />14 <br />Thepplan has beenn shared witth the Minneesota Divisioon of Homeland Securityy and Emerggency <br />19 <br />Manaagement andd the Federall Emergencyy Managemeent Agency ffor review annd comment.
