Introductions/Public Comment Invited <br /> Commissioners and staff will be introduced. Public participation and public comment is <br /> encouraged. <br /> 2. Approval of Minutes of the August 7, 2012 Meeting <br /> Enclosed is a copy of the minutes of August 7, 2012. Please be prepared to approve <br /> or amend. <br /> Requested Action: Approve/amend minutes of the meeting of August 7, 2012. <br /> 3. Park Dedication — Meritex Enterprises, Inc. - Highcrest Park 4t" Addition <br /> Included in your packet is a proposed plat subdivision. The proposal is to subdivide 8.29 acres of <br /> the Meritex industrial property into 2 parcels and sell the northern parcel to Fantasy Flight <br /> Publishing and the southern parcel to a party yet to be determined. <br /> Included in your packet is the preliminary plat application for Fantasy Flight Publishing. The <br /> primary role of the Parks and Recreation Commission is to recommend to the City Council to <br /> accept land, cash or a combination of such to satisfy the Park Dedication Ordinance. <br /> The cash amount would be approximately $77,115 (5% of the FMV). The land amount would be <br /> 5% of 8.29 acres = .41 acre. <br /> General guidance from the Parks and Recreation System Master Plan includes the following: <br /> 1. To add new parks and recreation facilities to achieve equitable access in all neighborhoods <br /> 2. To accommodate the needs of Roseville's redeveloping areas <br /> 3. To meet resident's desires for a broad range of recreation opportunities serving all ages <br /> and cultures. <br /> 4. To make continued, effective use of the Park Dedication Ordinance. <br /> If you recall, the larger Meritex parcel had been identified as a potential acquisition in <br /> Constellation O. <br /> Requested Commission Action: To discuss and make a recommendation to the City Council to <br /> accept land, cash or a combination of such to satisfy the Park Dedication requirements. <br /> 4. Parks and Recreation Commission Goals 2013 <br /> This is an opportunity for the Commission to discuss desired goals for the next year. In your <br /> packet for guidance are some suggested topics and a suggested format. <br /> Requested Commission Action: Finalize goals for 2012-13 <br />
