Roseville City Code Sectian 503.03, <br />"Transpor�ing of Weapons", addresses the legal transportation of bows and arrows, bu# does not <br />address #he use of them in the City. Rosevilie City Code 503.06, "Dangerous Weapons Prohibited", <br />outlaws the use of numerous weapons to include baws and arrows, but only when they are used <br />against a person. Baws and arrows are not addressed in any other Sections. <br />The proposed additional fanguage to Ciiy Code, Secfion 505.10, Use of Bow and Arrow, specifically <br />bars the use of bows and arrows except in a smal! number of circumstances. <br />Police staff consulted the Ciiy Code of eight suburbs before submiiting the proposed language. Golden <br />Valfey and Maplewood City Codes weighed heavily in the proposed wording. <br />The city attorney has reviewerf and approved the proposed language. <br />Policv: <br />It is within the Council's authority to amend ciiy code by enacting ordinances. <br />Financial: <br />No financial impac# is expected. <br />Staff Recommendation: <br />It is recommended Council approve tF�e additional language by enacting an ordinance addition Section <br />1 Q, Use of Bow and Arrow, to Title Five, Chapter 503 of the Rosevil�e City Code. <br />Council Action Reauested: <br />Enact an 4rdinance adding Section 10 to Tile Five, Cnapter 503 of fhe Roseville City Code. <br />
