The Hazardous Waste Section <br />provides regulatory and inspection services to generators af hazardous <br />waste and the facilities which manage hazardous waste throughout the <br />County. Both sections issue licenses #o their affected populations and <br />enforce local and sta#e rules within the scope of their programs. <br />LOCAL AGENCIES: <br />�. j C6ty af R�se�rille <br />A.) Roseville Fire Department {Figure 't9} <br />The Roseviiie Volunteer Fire Department consists of 78 members <br />responding from three stations with a totai of nine vehicles. The stations <br />are focated at 2701 Lexington (Station '� ), 2501 Fairview (Station 2), and <br />2335 Dale (Station 3). The department responds io all fire calls and <br />requests for extrication in motor vehicle accidents. <br />Station 1 houses one engine and a heavy rescue #rucic. The other <br />stations each house two engines and a 100 foot aerial ladder. There is <br />also a 4x4 grassfire truck at station 3_ <br />The three stations are staffed from fipm uniil 6am six days a week and all <br />day Sunday_ Two members are on duty at ai� timas except at Station 1 <br />which has one person standing by. <br />Drills are held the first three Wednesday and Saturday mornings and #he <br />#irst three Thursday evenings of each month. Members must attend at <br />least six drills per quarter and respond to 33 percent of the calis per year. <br />There were approximateiy fi00 calls in � 993. The annual training <br />schedule includes the areas of hazardous materials, natural gas, and <br />flammable fiquids. NSP, Amoco, and Williams all contribute time and <br />personnel to the depa�tment in these areas. <br />Bo#h engines at Station 2 are equipped with foam. One has 300 gaifons <br />in its tank and 1200 gallons of water, altowing 10,000 gallons of foam to <br />be produced. The other truck carries 35 gallons of foam concentrate. A!i <br />of ihe department engines have foam inductors. The Roseville <br />department is also the foam reserves storeho�se for the Capitol City <br />Mutual Aid Association, of which Roseville is a member. lf more foam is <br />needed in an emergency, 3M Company has provisions to supply large . <br />6-7 <br />
