Thc northeastern portion of the wetland is dominated by a slopin� marsh and shrub-carr <br />containin� elder, black willow, red-osier dogwood, cattail, and reed canary grass. There are a <br />few individual plants of purple Iooscstrife along the edge of thc �vetland near the trail fronn Co_ <br />Rd. B. Along the western portion of the wetiand a ditch has been created coming from the <br />discharge area and flowing south and mcetinb up with the channel of W2. The stream channel has severe down cutting, sedimentation, and <br />permanent flows. During storm events the channel spills out into the surrounding wet meadow. <br />The meadow is dominated by reed canary grass. Further from the channel are r.ettle, touch-me- <br />not, red-osier do�wood, cottor�wood, boxelder, willow, and buckthorn. <br />Down cuttin� of channcls through wetland has artificially drained a portion of the direct basin <br />and the adjacent wetland.
