Central Park <br />At 225 acres, Central Park is the largest park in Roseville, and one of the largcr urban parks in <br />Rarnsey County. Central Park is divided by roads and other city infrastruct�ire into five areas <br />��nnPcte� by a series of walking and biking trails. <br />Upland communities here incl�ide and oak woodland-brushland with a small, restored prairie, but <br />is largely composed of lowland hardwood forests that are pioncerin� into formerly open upland <br />arcas. The wetlands include a number of larger basins with varying degrees of past disturbance, <br />including ditchin�, and dredging that attempted to create waterfowl habitat. In addition to these <br />natural comrnunities, Central Park also hosts Bennett Lake, which is discussed in an earlier <br />section of this report. <br />Recreationally, Central Park features an outdoor amphitheater, picnic pavilions and a fishing <br />dock on Bennett Lake. There are also a nuzrzber of ball fields, volleybal] courts, tennis courts, <br />bocce ball courts and play areas. Central Park {DaIe West) features the Hairiiet Alexander Naturc <br />Center, situated on a 52 acre nature prescrve.
