He also asked to combine the two youth commission items into <br />one discussion. Commissioner Kaying Thao asked to add an item under new business to discuss <br />increasing the human rights commission budget. <br />Commissioner David Singleton moved and Commissioner Thao seconded motion to approve the <br />agenda, as amended. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Approve Minutes <br />Commissioner Singleton moved and Commissioner Wayne Groff seconded motion to approve <br />minutes as amended by Chair Grefenberg. Motion prevailed unanimously. <br />Commissioner Kristin Doneen arrived at this time. <br />Public Comment <br />No one offered public comment on items not on the a e�. <br />New Business <br />Chair Grefenberg said he wanted to move the item up to accommodate the members of Minnesota <br />United for All Families who were present. He noted information in the packet from the League of <br />Minnesota Human Rights Commissions which encouraged local commissions to contact their area's <br />organizer in the Minnesotans United for All Families effort to defeat the proposed constitutional <br />amendment on marria�He also noted that the HRC passed a resolution opposing the marriage <br />amendment and the City Council would receive the resolution at its August 27 council meeting. <br />Zac Delventhal introduced himself as the local representative of Minnesotans United. He is <br />working within northern Ramse_y County suburbs to educate voters about the impact of the marriage <br />amendment and he would like the HRC's help to build awareness. <br />
