So this burst of activity has prevented me from meeting the October 10t"
deadline for submitting the meeting materials to Carolyn. She has kindly extended the
deadline for submission of the agenda and meeting packet.
There will be an opportunity for Commissioners to raise their concerns and questions during
our meeting this Wednesday.
October 9t" Constitutional Amendment Forum on the Voter ID Proposal: Over 100
persons attended this forum last Tuesday evening which received significant coverage in the
Twin Cities media. Commission
volunteers will be needed to staff an informational table and gather addresses for our list-
serve.
Marriage Amendment Follow-Up: During Public Comment I appeared at the Roseville
School Board meeting of September 25t" and asked that it consider the feasibility of taking a
public position against the Marriage Amendment, as have the City Councils of Roseville,
Falcon Heights, and Maplewood, three municipalities which include most of School District
626.
Regular Commission Vacancy: Five Roseville residents have applied to the City Council for
appointment to the unexpired term of Thelma McKenzie.
