Page 2 of 4 <br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE 26 <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE 27 <br /> 28 <br /> 29 <br /> * * * * * * * * * * * 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of 33 <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 19th day of November, 2012 at 6:00 34 <br />p.m. 35 <br /> 36 <br />The following members were present: 37 <br /> , and the following were absent: 38 <br /> 39 <br />Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: 40 <br /> 41 <br /> 42 <br /> RESOLUTION _______ 43 <br /> 44 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE RECOMMENDATIONS SET FORTH BY 45 <br />THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN SUBCOMMITTEE 46 <br />CONCERNING THE CITY’S CAPITAL REPLACEMENT PROGRAMS 47 <br /> 48 <br /> 49 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is committed to the l ong-term financial sustainability of the City’s 50 <br />programs and services; and 51 <br /> 52 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted a Perfor mance Management Program which represents a 53 <br />comprehensive approach to improving results through systematic processes and continuous 54 <br />evaluation; and 55 <br /> 56 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the critical role that capital assets and infrastructure serve 57 <br />in providing programs and services; and 58 <br /> 59 <br />WHEREAS, in 2011 the City Council establis hed the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) 60 <br />Subcommittee to assess the City’s long-term capital replacement needs and issue funding 61 <br />recommendations necessary to sustain the City’s capital assets and infrastructure; and 62 <br /> 63 <br />WHEREAS, the CIP Subcommittee has submitte d reports and recommendations on June 13, 2011, 64 <br />June 20, 2011 and September 10, 2012; and 65 <br /> 66 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to forma lly accept the CIP Subco mmittee’s recommendations 67 <br />in an effort to memorialize a new policy directi on, to set community expectations, and to ensure 68 <br />proper consideration by future City Councilmembers. 69 <br /> 70 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, 71 <br />that The City Council hereby accepts the repor ts and recommendations set forth by the CIP 72 <br />Subcommittee; and will commit to fulfilling the goals and objectives contained therein. 73
