Page 2 of 2 <br />The plans and specifications for this project are complete , and the project is scheduled to be bid in January, 34 <br />2013. Bid award and pre-construction planning will occur in February and March, 2013. The actual 35 <br />construction on the project is scheduled to occur from April to October, 2013. 36 <br />Public information meetings were held on December 8, 2011, and November 5, 2012, to present the 37 <br />proposed project and schedule to the surrounding neighborhood. 38 <br />P OLICY O BJECTIVE 39 <br />Some of the goals of the City’s Comprehensive Surface Water Management Plan are to protect the integrity 40 <br />of storm water conveyance channels, reduce nutrient loading and improve water quality to lakes and 41 <br />wetlands. City policy is to cooperate with other agen cies for mutual benefit whenever possible. The 42 <br />attached JPA details the terms and responsibilities of this cooperative project. This agreement has been 43 <br />reviewed by the City Attorney. 44 <br />F INANCIAL I MPACTS 45 <br />CRWD has a contract for project engineering with HDR, Inc. The Engineer’s Estimate for the project is 46 <br />$1,694,075.03. This cost is proposed to be shared by CRWD and the City of Roseville. The requested City 47 <br />cost share for this project is $400,000. The City received a $100,000 grant for this project from the 48 <br />Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. The remaining City contribution is funded in the Storm Sewer 49 <br />Infrastructure Fund. 50 <br />The VPWS is a City of Roseville fac ility located within a City park. The City cost share for this project is 51 <br />based on the cost of the routine maintenance required to restore the basin to the orig inal design.
