Motion prevailed <br />unanimously. <br />� <br />Program Planning Committee Report <br />prepared for Human Rights Commission Meeting of September 13, 2012 <br />The Program Planning Committee of the Human Rights Commission (HRC) has met <br />twice since the last HRC meeting, on planning future community programs and on <br />the two other major projects now being organized, the Civic Engagement project <br />and the Project 515 program in October. <br />Wayne Groff, a newly-appointed commissioner, met with the Committee on <br />organizing future community dialogues, forums, and discussions, as outlined in the <br />last Program Planning Committee Report (August 2011).... <br />Planning Community Dialogues <br />The Committee met again on this effort, and determined that at this time it was <br />feasible to only consider a series of community discussions to occur on alternate <br />months. Because of its current work load, the Committee also decided that it <br />would spend the remainder of the year organizing an advisory group to plan a <br />series of programs for next year, as was discussed at the August Commission <br />meeting. <br />I� <br />Human Rights Commission <br />Excerpt from Meeting Minutes <br />August 9, 2011 <br />Program Planning Committee <br />Commissioner Grefenberg reviewed the Program Planning report in the packet. He <br />noted that the Neighborhood and Community Engagement Task Force was holding their <br />neighbor to neighbor meeting on Wednesday, looking for ways to improve how citizens <br />can involve themselves in city governance. He encouraged everyone to attend. <br />Commissioner Grefenberg said the City had included an article in the recent City <br />Newsletter, which goes to every resident's home, informing them of the meeting, and <br />he noted that the City has provided a webpage with information about the task force.... <br />Commissioner Grefenberg said the goal of the meeting is to get more people involved <br />and to develop recommendations to give to the city. The topics they would cover at the <br />meeting included transparency and clarity; communications, neighborhood <br />involvement; and government responsiveness. <br />Commissioner Brisbois provided information about Project 515, including the updated <br />Attachments to Chair's Report of January 16, 2013 12 <br />
