HRA Meeting
Minutes –Tuesday, November 20, 2012
Page 10
1
that is true, there should be no need to license all multi-family properties that have no history or need of
2
inspection. Such action could only be assumed to be another tax to raise funds for further city spending.
3
4
I am sure that there are many double, triple or quadruple family homes in which many seniors live, and in which
5
even the owner might live, that will never need inspection but which will still be charged a license fee, which
6
then is not a fee but another tax.
7
8
We have seen our Roseville taxes increase every year and rise substantially this year with some very
9
questionable major City Council spending, and we taxpayers cannot endure more of the same. As every thinking
10
person knows, businesses do not pay taxes. Only people pay taxes and people in Roseville are maxed out on
11
taxes. Such further taxes will only take money from those who now have need of it for their own living expenses
12
and sustenance, so the government can increase itsspending spree. This cycle must stop somewhere, and this is
13
as good a place as any to say, “NO MORE.”
14
15
Dick Houck
16
1131 Roselawn Avenue
17
Roseville, MN 55113
18
dick_houck@yahoo.com
