Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Date: January 22, 2013 Item No: 4 <br />Item Description: Communication Items <br />At the January 28, 2013 City Council meeting, Arizona State University will make a <br />presentation to the City Council about Best Value Procurement Processes. This is one of <br />the first items on that meeting agenda and is anticipated to be about an hour. <br />Projects update- <br />* 2013 Sanitary Sewer Lining Project: The 2013 Sanitary Sewer Main Lining <br />Project includes lining for approximately 39,243 lineal feet (7.43 miles) in areas <br />identified as having root intrusion or infiltration problems. The bids were opened <br />in December, the City Council will be asked to award the bid to SAK <br />Construction at the January 28 meeting. Their bid was $1,174, 835.25. <br />o Waterman lining project — The City Council awarded the project in the amount of <br />$621,886.10 to Veit & Company, Inc., of Rogers, Minnesota. We are working on <br />a manufacturer's warranty with 3M for their product in conjunction with this bid.. <br />Work is anticipated to begin in spring. <br />o County Road D Reconstruction - The City Council will be holding a Public <br />Hearing for this project on January 28, 2012, around 7:30 pm. Staff has been <br />asked to provide the City Council with alternatives for construction that do not <br />include a sidewalk along the entire south side of the road. <br />• Villa Park Sediment Removal Project - This project is being led by Capitol <br />Region Watershed District. It is currently out for bids. Work is anticipated to be <br />completed this summer <br />• Staff is working on the following projects: <br />• County Road B -2 Pathway Construction <br />• Wheeler Avenue Closure <br />• Utility Extension at 3040 Hamline Avenue <br />• McCarrons lake Subwatershed Drainage Improvements <br />• 2013 Pavement Management Mill and Overlay Project <br />Maintenance Activity <br />Boulevard tree trimming is in progress with 20% of inventory as goal. <br />Winter maintenance activity is below historical averages <br />Attachments: <br />A.
