Attachment D <br />The City of Roseville and Ramsey County agree to the following work plan to increase recycling performance in 2012 -2013. <br />While all elements of this work plan are important, the following overall categories should be considered high priorities for late 2012 through 2013 for all communities <br />in Ramsey County: <br />• Improving communication to residents, including more consistency, increased frequency, a broader scope of topics, and core County messages. <br />• Ensuring that every resident has recycling service, regardless of housing type. <br />• Increasing public space recycling including, but not limited to, parks and right -of -ways. <br />• Ensuring complete and accurate reporting to Ramsey County, and participating when appropriate with additional data collection. <br />Learning more about residential organics collection, in anticipation of having an organics program in place by 2016. <br />Expanding materials collected for which markets are now available, including expanded plastics collection where not already available, along with other items <br />accepted in some programs but not others. <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE RECYCLING <br />PERFORMANCE WORK PLAN <br />dministration <br />Timeline <br />Progress <br />Secure accurate, reliable and timely reports, and participate in additional data <br />Tim Pratt Ongoing <br />collection if requested by the County (e.g., recycling participation rates). <br />Participate in County ReTRAC /SCORE training. <br />Tim Pratt <br />12/2012 - 01/2013 <br />Ensure that Recycling Coordinator is engaged with the County through regularly <br />Tim Pratt <br />Ongoing <br />scheduled Coordinator meetings, attendance at any mandatory meetings, <br />reading e- newsletters, etc. <br />Will incorporate a disaster emergency plan using waste hierarchy based on <br />Tim Pratt <br />2nd Q 2013 <br />County plan. <br />Will consider potential ordinance for mandatory recycling of single family homes. <br />Tim Pratt <br />1st Q 2013 <br />Determine the best direction for the City recycling contract after the current <br />Tim Pratt <br />1st Q 2013 <br />contract expires 12/31/13.
