Department Approval <br />��� � <br />� <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date: January 7, 2013 <br />Item No.: 12.b <br />City Manager Approval <br />Item Description: Citizen Advisory Commission Reappointment/Appointment <br />BACKGROUND <br />Roseville has six standing advisory commissions. Commissions advise the City Council on <br />specific actions and offer citizen input on issues of importance. <br />Annually the City Council requests interviews, appoints and re-appoints Commissioners and/or <br />declares vacancies on the standing Commissions. <br />At the December 3, 2012 meeting, the City Council coniirmed the reappointment calendar. They <br />agreed that at the January 7 organizational meeting, the Council would determine whether to <br />reappoint some or all of the commissioners who are reapplying or invite them to be interviewed <br />at the January 28 Council meeting. Commissioners would be appointed to terms that begin April <br />1 and run through March 31, 2016. <br />Seven commissioners on four commissions have expressed interest in reapplying to their various <br />commissions.
