Attachment A <br />EXTRACT O�' MINUTES OF 1V�EETING <br />OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVYLLE <br />�*:��:���:�:�:x*�::�:�**� <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 18th day of May, 2009, <br />at 6:00 p.m. <br />The following membei•s were present: Roe, Jol�nson, Ihlan, Pust and Klausing <br />and the following were absent: none. <br />Mayor Klausing introdtzced the following resoiution and mo�ved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION No. 107] 1 <br />Resolution Authorizing the City Manager fo Execute Certain <br />Grant Applications on behalf of the City of Roseville <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville has applied for a variety of grai7ts which benefit the <br />City; and <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville City Councii encourages staff to continue to identify a�ld <br />apply for grants as a means to fund the policies, priorities and pro�rams of the City, as <br />establ�ished by actions of the Couneil; and <br />WHEREAS, grant submittals sometin�es require verificatidn of authority to submit an <br />application on behalf of the C�itys and the reqtiired timefram,es for subtnittal sometimes <br />may not allow for Council authorization prior to application deadiines. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RE�OLVED, that the City of RoSevilte does hereby <br />autharize the Cit� Manager to e�ecute grant a�plications on behalf of the City of <br />�oseville iil cases �vhere Council authorization is not required or is required but cannot <br />be practically abtained priar to an application deadline, and where any matching funds or <br />other city financial obligation related to the grant are accounted for either in the City <br />budget or by previous Council actionT and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager will report any such grant <br />applications to the City Council af#er the application is submitted. <br />The motion for the adoption of the faregoing resoIution �vas duly seconded by Member <br />Roe, and upon a v�te being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Roe, <br />Johr�son, IhIan, Pust and Klausing <br />and the following voted against the same: nane. <br />WHEREUPON said resalution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
