CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of RoseviIle, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly called held at the City Hall on Monday, the 13th day of July, 1998 at 6:30 P.M. The following members were present: Mastel, Goedeke, wiski, Wall and the following were absent: Maschka Member Vliski introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 9562 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE JOINT APPLICATION FOR THE LIVABLE COMMUNITIES DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM FOR THE NEIGHBORHOOD COMMONS PROJECT WHEREAS, the City ofRoseviIle is a participant in the Livable Communities Act's Housing Incentives Program for 1998 as determined by the Metropolitan Council, and therefore eligible to make application for funds under the Livable Communities Demonstration Account; and WHEREAS, the City has identified a proposed project within the City that meets the Demonstration Account's purpose/s and criteria; and WHEREAS, the City has the institutional, managerial and financial capability to ensure adequate project administration; and WHEREAS, the City certifies that it will comply with all applicable laws and regulations as stated in the contract agreements; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota agrees to act as a legal sponsor for the project contained in the Demonstration Account application submitted on July 22, 1998; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council (the "Council") of the City of Roseville, Minnesota (the "City"), Ramsey County, Minnesota, that the City Manager is hereby authorized to apply to the Metropolitan Council for this funding on behalf of the City of Roseville and to execute such agreements as are necessary to implement the project on behalf of the applicant. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Goedeke and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: Mastel, Goedeke, Wiski, and Wall, and the following voted against the same: None. WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. 1
