<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />HELD: JULY 27t 1998 <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting <br />of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly <br />called and held at the City Hall in said City on the 27~h day of <br />J u 1 y, 19 9 8, at 6: 3 0 P. M . <br /> <br />The following members were present: Maschka t Maste 1 t Goedeke t Wi sk i <br />and Wall <br /> <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Member Maschka introduced the following <br />resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9569 <br />RESOLUTION IMPOSING SERVICE CHARGES WITHIN <br />SPECIAL SERVICE DISTRICT NO.1 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The City Council deems it necessary and expedient <br />that the City of Roseville, Minnesota impose service charges <br />within Special Service District No. 1 in an amount sufficient to <br />provide revenues required to provide special services in Special <br />Service District No.1; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 428A provides that no <br />such service charges shall be imposed until the Council shall <br />have held a public hearing on such service charges following <br />mailed notice and two publications thereof in the official <br />newspaper stating the time and place of the hearing, containing a <br />map showing the boundaries of the proposed special service <br />district and a statement that all persons owning property in the <br />proposed district that will be subject to a service charge will <br />be given an opportunity to be heard at the hearing; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, A public hearing was held on this date. Notice of <br />said hearing was given in two publications in the official <br />newspaper. Said publications were two weeks apart, and at least <br />three days elapsed between the last publication and the hearing. <br />Not less than ten days before the hearing the notice of the <br />hearing was mailed to the owner of each parcel of land within <br />Special Service District No. 1 proposed to be charged a service <br />charge. For the purpose of giving such mailed notice, owners <br />were those shown to be such on the records of the County Auditor <br />or, if the tax statements in the County are mailed by the County <br />Treasurer, on the records of the County Treasurer. <br /> <br />941960.1 <br />
