Purpose: Proposals to change the way the Comprehensive Plan's guidance for land use on a <br />given property may constitute significant departures from the present or historical use or <br />intended use of a property. Prior to submitting an a�plication for a�proval of a <br />Comprehensive Land Use Plan map change, an a�plicant shall hold an open house with <br />property owners in the vicinity of the sub�ject pro�erry in order to �provide a convenient <br />forum for engaging community members in the development process, to describe the <br />proposal in detail, and to answer questions and solicit feedback. <br />216 B. Timing: The open house shall be held not more than 30 days prior to the submission of � <br />217 ��'�^�*�^r � r a Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Plan Map chan�e a�lication <br />218 and shall be held on a weekday evening beginning between 6:00 p.m. <br />219 and 7:00 p.m. and ending by 10:00 p.m. <br />220 C. Location: The open house shall be held at a location in or near the neighborhood affected by <br />221 � the proposal • , and (in the case of a s� au rcel near Roseville's <br />222 boundaries) preferably in Roseville. The invitation shall identiiy contact information of the <br />host of the ope�1 house for anyone who has questions but is Linable to attend the o�en house. <br />The open house invitation shall include a sentence that is substantiall,y the same as the <br />following: <br />This open house is an important source of feedback from nearby_propertyo uwners and is a <br />required step in the process of seekin�,y approval for the proposed chan,�e of the <br />Coinprehensive Plan land use designation. A suminary of the comments and questions <br />raised at the open house shall be sub�nitted to the Citv as part of the formal abnlication. <br />238 E. Summary: A written summary of the open house shall be submitted as a necessary <br />239 component of an application for Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map Amendment <br />240 approvaL (Ord. 1362, 3-24-2008) <br />241 ��� 201A.05: ADOPTION OF CITY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN BY CITY <br />242 COUNCIL: <br />243 Upon receiving a recommendation from the Planning Commission for the establishment or <br />244 amendment of a plan, the City Council shall follow procedure as set forth in Chapter 108 of this <br />245 Code. The City Council may adopt such plan or amendments by a majority vote of its members <br />246 or by a larger majority if required by statute. (Ord. 1175A, 11-25-1996) <br />
