<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />************************************************************************ <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, <br />County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 14th day of September, 1998 at 6:30 P.M. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Maschka, Wiski, Goedeke, Mastel and Wall <br /> <br />The following members were absent: None <br /> <br />Member Mastel moved that the following resolution be adopted: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9584 <br /> <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING AN HONORARY TRADE PROGRAM IN THE CITY OF <br />ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville acknowledges and recognizes the importance of a <br />global community and international trade relationships to the cultural and economic vitality of <br />the City, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Roseville, its citizens and businesses to <br />foster an understanding of the global community and benefit from the opportunities of <br />international trade and cultural exchanges, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that an Honorary Trade Program would <br />enhance Roseville business retention, provide jobs, diversify the tax base, and help to provide a <br />stable local business climate. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Roseville <br />has determined the needs of an Honorary Trade Program to include the following: <br /> <br />1. The City of Roseville City Council and Mayor may establish trade initiatives to <br />include the appointment of Honorary Trade Representatives by resolution. <br /> <br />1 <br />
