HRA Meeting Minutes – Tuesday, January 15, 2013 Page 4 1 b.Authorize the hiring of Maxfield Research to update the Comprehensive Multi-family 2 Housing Needs Analysis 3 Mr. Trudgeon summarized the rationale for this request, with the study typically updated every 4 five (5) years, but recommending that the study be updated now at four (4) years, to ensure that 5 the Dale Street project had the latest information available before proceeding. 6 7 Motion: Member Elkins moved, seconded by Member Lee to authorize entering into a 8 contract with Maxfield Research, Inc. (Attachment A) in an amount not to exceed 9 $13,215.00; with the understanding that if additional research or meetings time beyond 10 the contracted amount other than one presentation is needed, there would be additional 11 costs paid to Maxfield Research, Inc. for that additional time. 12 13 Ayes: 4 14 Nays: 0 15 Motion carried. 16 17 10. Information Reports and Other Business (Verbal Reports by Staff and Board Members) 18 19 a.Home and Garden Fair Update 20 Ms. Kelsey reviewed some of this year’s workshops and their timing to facilitate additional 21 time for participants to interact with vendors and specific activities planned for children. Ms. 22 Kelsey distributed a sign-up sheet for members. 23 24 b.Board & Staff Reports 25 Ms. Kelsey briefly reviewed residential foreclosures from 2009 to present, noting that 26 residential foreclosures in 2012 were well below 2009 trends; and foreclosures across the 27 board continued on a downward trend. Ms. Kelsey noted that Roseville remained fortunate in 28 not experiencing problems of other communities during the financial crisis. 29 30 11.
