The budge t process is a major 3 <br />component of the Program. 4 <br /> 5 <br />In an effort to better coordinate the budget process, the City Council is asked to consider establishing a 6 <br />Budget Calendar. Adhering to a bud get calendar demonstrates that the Council and Staff are committed 7 <br />to a process that ensures transparent discussions and in formed decisions. It can also be used to ensure 8 <br />opportunities are created for citizen s and interested parties to pa rticipate in the budget process. 9 <br /> 10 <br />As outlined in the Performance Management Prog ram, the 2014/2015 Budget Calendar should feature a 11 <br />number of customary steps. These steps are depicted in Attachment B .
