Page 2 of 2 <br />City of Bloomington where all households pay appr oximately $10 a year on their utility bill for a 33 <br />curbside appliance collection program. 34 <br />P OLICY O BJECTIVE 35 <br />The City Council has established a Community As piration to be “Environmentally responsible, 36 <br />with well-maintained natural assets.” This pilot program would co llect appliances for responsible 37 <br />recycling and help address issues such as illegal outside storage and illegal dumping that can 38 <br />have a deleterious effect on our natural resources. 39 <br />B UDGET I MPLICATIONS 40 <br />The PEIG funds will cover all new expenses for the program such as printing and postage of 41 <br />letters and postcards sent to re sidents as well as all collection costs paid to Better Futures 42 <br />Enterprises. 43 <br />Roseville staff time will not be covered by the gran t.
