2 Informally presented alternate solution(extension of Co. Rd. C2) to selected residents, Roseville Public Works staff in 2011. Please state your reasons for wanting to serve on the Commission/Board:: I feel my experience in planning, albeit for another jurisdiction, and my experience successfully interfacing between City staff and residents to reach mutually accep table solutions to planning problems would serve the City of Roseville well: being a long ‐term City resident hopefully would inspire confidence in Roseville residents; and my professional experience in City ‐wide comprehensive planning and zoning, neighborhood ‐scale comprehensive planning and zoning, and transportation planning (including several years representing Minneapolis Planning's Director on various regional LRT corridor plannin g committees) hopefully would inspire confidence in City staff, Planning Commissioners, and City Council Members. I think I have a lot to offer and I believe I can make a difference for the City of Roseville. What is your view of the role of this Co mmission/ Board?: To listen to City residents' concerns and aspirations; to work with staff to develop a long ‐range vision and plan for Roseville and short ‐term implementation strategies consistent with that Plan; to make sensitive and considered planning, development and zoning recommendations to the City Council; to attempt to find workable solutions to controversial plannin g and zoning issues before passing those issues on to the Zoning Board of Appeals or City Council ‐ always recognizing citizens' rights to appeal Planning Commission recommendations.
