2 Please state your reasons for wanting to serve on the Commission/Board:: Both before and during law school I have developed a strong interest in real estate planning and development. While taking a course on land use at William Mitchell I had the opportunity to study zoning codes and observe planning commission mee tings. Serving on the Planning Co mmission would provide me with an opportunity to apply my education and learn more about this area. Also, as a Roseville homeowner and expecting parent I would like to contribute to the community and help shape its future. As a recent graduate of law school I feel I am in a great po sition to be of service to Roseville and I hope to do so. What is your view of the role of this Commission/ Board?: My understanding of the role of the Planning Commission is that it reviews and provides recommendations to the City Council on land use iss u es within the city. This includes hearing and making recommendations on applications for conditional uses, proposed amendments to district boundaries on the zoning map and other development approvals. Any further information you would like the City Council to consider or that you feel is relevant to the appoin tment or reappointm ent you are seeking.: While I am a relatively new homeowner in Roseville and I only recently graduated from William Mitchell, I believe that I would be a great addition to the Planning Commission. My background in real estate law, commitment to the city and strong interest would allow me to get up to s p eed very quickly. Thank you for considering my application.
