<br />EXHIBIT A <br /> <br />NOTICE OF BOND SALE <br /> <br />$2,500,000 <br /> <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />RAMSEY COUNTY <br />MINNESOTA <br /> <br />GENERAL OBLIGATION IMPROVEMENT <br />BONDS, SERIES 25 <br /> <br />(Global Book Entry System) <br /> <br />Sealed bids for these bonds will be opened and tabulated by the <br />City Manager or designee on Monday, January 25, 1999, at 12:00 <br />Noon, Central Time, at the City Hall in Roseville, Minnesota. <br />Consideration for award of these bonds will be at 6:30 P.M., <br />Central Time, by the City Council at the City Hall that same day. <br />The bonds will be dated February 16, 1999, and interest will be <br />payable September 1, 1999 and semiannually thereafter. The bonds <br />will be issued in global book entry form only. The bonds will <br />mature on March 1 in the years and amounts as follows: <br /> <br />Year Amount Year Amount <br />2000 $110,000 2008 $170,000 <br />2001 120,000 2009 180,000 <br />2002 130,000 2010 190,000 <br />2003 135,000 2011 200,000 <br />2004 140,000 2012 210,000 <br />2005 150,000 2013 215,000 <br />2006 155,000 2014 230,000 <br />2007 165,000 <br /> <br />Bids for the bonds may contain a maturity schedule providing for <br />any combination of serial bonds and term bonds, subject to <br />mandatory redemption, so long as the amount of principal maturing <br />or subject to mandatory redemption in each year conforms to the <br />maturity schedule set forth above. <br /> <br />Bidders must specify a price of not less than $2,462,500 plus <br />accrued interest. An approving legal opinion will be furnished <br />by Briggs and Morgan, Professional Association, of St. Paul and <br />Minneapolis, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Bidders should be aware that the Official Terms of Bond Sale to <br />be published in the Official Statement for the sale may contain <br />additional bidding terms and information relative to the Issue. <br /> <br />1004111.1 <br /> <br />A-I <br />
