Lexington Park <br />Implementation Planning Session One <br />12 February 2013 <br />19 Attendees signed in <br />Meeting input <br />Following an overview of the Parks and Recreation Renewal Program and its application to <br />Lexington Park, work session participants were asked to respond to questions about the <br />evolution of the park under the renewal program. Responses are included in this summary. <br />At the end of the session, participants were asked to prioritize ideas discussed during the <br />work session as individuals. <br />As a large group, participants were asked to share their thoughts about issues that needed <br />to be resolved at Lexington Park. Responses included: <br />Eldridge and Lexington—riding bikes on the street—no circuit through the park—not safe <br />Works better with two soccer fields, not three—soccer balls in neighbors' yards <br />Not enough picnic tables <br />More things for older kids and younger adults and families <br />Make better use of the inside of the rink <br />Warming house open longer—more hours <br />No drinking fountains <br />Not enough bike racks or trash receptacles <br />Dog waste <br />Last quarter of the play area as a water play area would bring a lot more people to the park <br />Keep trees! <br />Work session participants worked in small groups to assess the priority for items identified <br />in the master plan for Lexington Park that had not been completed.
