<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the <br />City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City Hall on <br />Monday, the 11th day of January, 1999 at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Maschka, Goedeke, Mastel, Wiski, Wall <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Member Mastel introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9622 <br />RESOLUTION EST ABUSHING PRIORITIES FOR ROSEVILLE AND RAMSEY COUNTY <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANTS (CDBG) AND HOME INVESTMENT <br />PARTNERSHIP (HOME) FUNDS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Comprehensive Plan adopted by the City Council provides <br />specific goals to provide a variety of housing types, improve the quality of below average <br />housing unites, fill the gaps to enable all stages of life cycle housing for entry level to senior <br />citizens, assist entry level family housing and retain and expand the business community; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville has, since 1985, continued to be an active participant <br />in the Ramsey County CDBG and HOME Programs; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, annually the City Council establishes goals for housing and economic <br />development and recommends priorities for the Ramsey County CDBG and HOME project <br />funding at least every three years. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council of the City of Roseville <br />hereby establishes the following five City of Roseville and County CDBG/HO ME housing and <br />economic development funding priorities (1 is highest rating,S is lowest rating): <br /> <br />1. Rehabilitation of owner occupied property (including energy conservation) <br />2. New affordable housing construction - senior/special needs <br />3. Rehabilitation of rental properties <br />4. Homeownership for first time buyers who are low to moderate income <br />5. Job creation opportunities <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member Goedeke and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: Maschka, <br />Goedeke, Mastel, Wall <br />
