<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF A MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE, <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />of Roseville, County of Ramsey, State of Minnesota, was duly held in the City Hall at <br />2660 Civic Center Drive, Roseville, Minnesota, on <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mastel, Goedeke, Maschka, Wall <br />and the following members were absent: None <br /> <br />Member Mastel introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9639 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR THE US ENVIRONMENTAL <br />PROTECTION AGENCY BROWNFIELD ECONOMIC REDEVELOPMENT <br />INITIATIVE GRANT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville, has approved a redevelopment plan for the <br />Twin Lakes Business Park which is included as part of the economic and <br />redevelopment section ofthe Comprehensive Plan amended and adopted in December, <br />1998; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a part of the redevelopment plan includes the construction of <br />infrastructure to enable redevelopment and alleviate existing County Roadway <br />congestion; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the official mapping of the Twin Lakes Parkway was completed and <br />approved by the City of Roseville in October of 1998; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as part ofthe planning for the roadway the City of Roseville will <br />need to complete and fund environmental assessment, site characterization, cleanup <br />planning and design prior to construction and further redevelopment of the Twin <br />Lakes Parkway and Twin Lakes Business Park; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, application for the US EPA's Brownfield Economic Redevelopment <br />Initiative Grant will assist in the costs to fund the assessment and cleanup planning to <br />enable the timely construction and further redevelopment in the Twin Lakes <br />Redevelopment Area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville has the institutional, managerial and financial <br />capability to ensure adequate project administration. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Manager is hereby <br />authorized to apply to the US Environmental Protection Agency on behalf of the City of <br />
