19. How to get sub-communities of Roseville connected: community circulator bus through <br />Roseville and surrounding communities (think school district). W/o cars, some residents can't <br />get to library, shopping centers, friends elsewhere or after-school/before-school activities. <br />Events which don't focus on each other but something else. Kids (incl. teens) w/o money do not <br />cannot participate in a lot of community ed. <br />20. Posters to meet a neighbor or get outside etc. Campaign to foster connectedness. <br />21. Thanks for a great dialogue. Learned so much about a new resident of Roseville's perspective on <br />all facilities and web sites available to learn about what is available in Roseville. <br />22. Increase/centralize communications — for events, volunteering opportunities and gatherings. <br />23. I hear a lot of talk about immigrants and the Karen Community during this conversation as well <br />as folks about neighborhood watches. I wonder if people from the Karen Community were <br />invited to an event like this, actively invited. I would say the same thing for trying to foster <br />new/more new captains/involvement in neighborhood watch from this communities...Just a <br />thought! <br />24. City to intentionally promote connections. Free activities for all ages in parks. Campaigns — get <br />outside and connect. There is a poster "How to Build Community". Connect — help each other. <br />Take your older neighbor to the grocery store. <br />25. Use events/activities the city already does to meet one another. At theater, library class, <br />community ed., nature center, city meeting, etc. Facilitator invites everyone to take a moment <br />to meet one person nearby. <br />26. Have a community meeting on the topic of "fear" — what so on hate people fear that prevents <br />them from meeting people of color. What do people of color fear about the white community? <br />What are the and misc. <br />27. Sidewalks. <br />28. Provide opportunities for meeting neighbors. <br />29. Build sense of connectedness with diverse members of community. <br />30. Wider range of voices in this conversation is critical. <br />31. It is obvious that it will take a lot of individual and collective (community) efforts to foster <br />connectedness. <br />32. Connect, encourage, engage with communities outside of your own.
