<br />City of Roseville <br />Ethics Commission Meeting Minutes <br />Wednesday, February 13, 2013 <br /> <br /> <br />I. Call to Order <br />Chair Fjelstad called the mee ting to order at 6:33 p.m. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br />Anne Collopy, Margo Fjelstad, Ben Lehma n, LuAnne Pederson, and Nancy O’Brien <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br />None. <br /> <br />Others Present: <br />City Manager Bill Malinen and City Attorney Mark Gaughan <br /> <br />II. Approve Minutes of November 14, 2012 Meeting <br />O’Brien indicated that the following comments from Attorney Mark Gaughan that were <br />made were not reflected in the draft mi nutes of the November 14, 2012 meeting. She <br />thought that the minutes should reflect the advice the commission received from the <br />Attorney. The commission agreed that O’Brie n would work with the City Manager and <br />Attorney to accurately reflect comments made. <br /> <br />III. Review Ethics Code <br /> Lehman asked about updating the code to include procedures for informal opinions. <br /> O’Brien thought there was to be a review of what the process would be if there was a <br /> complaint against the Council. She also inqu ired as to what the process would be for <br /> complaints involving political campaigns. The subcommittee of Lehman and Fjelstad will <br /> develop recommendations on Ethics Code definitions and process. <br /> <br />IV. Review April 10 Ethics Training Event <br />Malinen indicated that former Roseville Mayor , Craig Klausing has agreed to speak at the <br />training event. Audience Participation Units will be used to engage participants. <br /> <br />V. Discuss Ethics Tip <br />In lieu of an Ethics Tip, Chair Fjelstad aske d that a reminder be sent about the April 10 <br />Ethics Training. <br /> <br />VI. Other Business. <br />Chair Fjelstad, Malinen, and the Commission th anked Pederson for six and a half years of <br />service starting September of 2006. <br /> <br />VII. Adjourn
