Regular City Council Meeting <br /> Monday, May 13, 2013 <br /> Page 28 <br /> spots in most areas; along with the multi-generational uses as addressed for the <br /> aging population. <br /> Councilmember McGehee expressed her interest in receiving updated information <br /> overall in the programs and services to define how many users are Roseville resi- <br /> dents and how many users were from beyond the city boundaries. <br /> Etten moved, Willmus seconded, approval of the Preliminary Plans as presented <br /> and as detailed in the RCA dated May 13, 2013; as the initial process for moving <br /> toward final design, plans and specifications for subsequent City Council approv- <br /> al. <br /> Councilmember Etten thanked staff and volunteers for their ongoing work on <br /> these projects. <br /> Councilmember Laliberte noted the valued addition of walls for seating purposes; <br /> with Mayor Roe concurring with that and additional benches as well. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Willmus; Laliberte; Etten; McGehee; and Roe. <br /> Nays: None. <br /> 14. Business Items—Presentations/Discussions <br /> 15. City Manager Future Agenda Review <br /> City Manager Malinen distributed copies of preliminary future meeting agendas. <br /> 16. Councilmember Initiated Items for Future Meetings <br /> Mayor Roe suggested individual Councilmembers consider the possibility of adding 1-2 <br /> more meetings over the next few months, suggesting that June 3, 2013 may be one possi- <br /> bility, and asking staff to work with him on other potential dates to bring forward to the <br /> body at the next meeting. Mayor Roe noted several items that had recently been deferred <br /> that needed addressing in the near future. <br /> Closed Executive Session <br /> Mayor Roe noted that State Statutes permits City Council meetings to be closed in order <br /> to discuss performance of individuals under their authority. Mayor Roe also noted that <br /> the statute allowed the City Manager to request that the discussion be held in open ses- <br /> sion; to which City Manager Malinen responded in the negative. <br /> Willmus moved, Etten seconded, adjourning to Closed Executive Session to at approxi- <br /> mately 9:25 p.m. for the purpose of the six-month evaluation of City Manager Malinen. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Willmus; Laliberte; Etten; McGehee; and Roe. <br />
