<br /> <br /> <br />Evergreen Park <br />Implementation Planning Session One <br />11 April 2013 <br />17 Attendees signed in <br /> <br />Meeting input <br /> <br />Following an overview of the Parks and Recreation Renewal Progra <br />Evergreen Park, work session participants were asked to respond to questions about the <br />evolution of the park under the renewal program. Responses are included in this summary. <br /> <br />At the end of the session, participants were asked to prioritize <br />work session as individuals. <br /> <br />Exercise One Issues <br /> <br />As a large group, participants were asked to share their thoughts about issues related to the <br />needs of or possibilities for a park in Southwest Roseville. Responses included: <br /> <br />Ice rink is poorly positioned. Hard to keep ice. Cold warming ho <br />More parking is needed for events <br />Few bike racks <br />Access to second level of concessions building; second access [egress?] is needed <br />Bituminous path [to replace wood chip path between east fields?] <br />Link paths through the park <br />Benches outside of the tennis court <br />Segregated bathroomsopen to kids during programs, not open to other during <br />programs <br />Better use of rink spaceIs it really used? <br />More shade trees <br />Assess real needs for ballfieldsHow might some this space be better used? <br /> <br />Exercise Two Comments <br /> <br />Meeting participants were encouraged to submit comments separateoverall <br />discussion. Responses include: <br /> <br />Please make this area more park-like, by installation of benches, shade trees, and <br />natural amenities such as berms <br />We dont use Evergreen Parkdont play softball/baseball. Can part of fields be <br />dedicated to other sports like soccer? Or even just a walking trail? The Falcon Heig <br />Park is a great model. More shade in playground, too. <br /> <br />
