<br /> <br /> <br />RosebrookPark <br />Implementation Planning Session One <br />23 April 2013 <br />4 Attendees signed in <br /> <br /> <br />Meeting input <br /> <br />Following an overview of the Parks and Recreation Renewal Progra <br />Autumn Grove Park, work session participants were asked to respond to questions about <br />the evolution of the park under the renewal program. Responses are included in this <br />summary. <br /> <br />Exercise One Issues <br /> <br />As a large group, participants were asked to share their thoughts about issues that needed <br />to be resolved at Rosebrook Park. Responses included: <br /> <br />Parking; Frye Streetcars from one end to the other; parking lots are not big enough; <br />people have to turn around in neighbors driveways to get out of <br />Softball fieldswhen there were fieldswere too close; the fields intermingled and <br />players never knew who was supposed to be using what field; the <br />wrecked from overuse; it takes a lot of work to keep up that amo <br />Unscheduled use wrecks the current fieldsadult use in the problem, not the youth <br />sports <br />The wading pool gets used by non-Roseville residents because its one of the only pools <br />around; homeless people use the pool for bathing <br />The building is a liability <br />The neighborhood is turning back to younger families; the park n <br />on youth <br />The Press Gym site is needed as an addition to the park; it wouluses to be <br />spread out. <br />Exercise Two Comparing directions <br /> <br />Work session participants were asked to compare and assess concept plans that would <br />orient the park to neighborhood or community use.
