105Wall, Simbeck and staff will compile Park Board materials for the upcoming joint <br />106Council/Commission meeting. <br />107 <br />VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR POSITION <br />1088. <br />109M.Holt updated the Commission on the background work she and Diedrickhad done on a <br />110Volunteer Coordinator.M. Holt & Anfang met with Jody Yungers from Ramsey County Parks & <br />111Recreationto better understand the workings of a Volunteer Coordinator in Parks & Recreation. M. <br />112Holt shared Jody’s comments aswell as Diedrick’slit search on documentation supporting and <br />113detailing volunteer coordinator positions in the public setting. <br />114 <br />115M. Holt, Diedrick and Anfang will meet again before the next meeting to continue to pull materials <br />116together that can be shared at the joint Council/Commission meeting. <br />117 <br />PREPARE FOR JOINT CITY COUNCIL/COMMISSION MEETING <br />1189. <br />th <br />119Commission agreed that they needed another meeting before the June 10joint meeting to <br />120coordinate their thoughts and make best use of their time with the Council.Commission will meet <br />121at 6:30pm on June 4, their traditional monthly meeting time. <br />122 <br />OTHER <br />12310. <br />124Brokke reported that the parks are very active these days and the golf course is open. <br />125The Community recently held an EAB information session with the Department of Agriculture <br />126for an update on the statewide perspective and information sharing on insecticides. <br />127Roseville does have a plan to address EAB in our community. <br />o <br />128EAB has been discovered in the North East quadrant of the city, the Langton Lake area. <br />o <br />129The Universityof Minnesota has taken down some of the affected Langton Lake trees to <br />130use for demonstration purposes. <br />131There will be the need for future discussions with the Council on funding for removal <br />o <br />132and replacement. <br />133Azer complimented the Skating Center staff on therecent ice show … it was a very impressive <br />134production. <br />135D.
