If the Pensioner leaves no Surviving Spouse, application may be made on behalf of the <br />Pensioner’s minor child or children, if any, and said minor children will be entitled pro <br />rata to the monthly benefits payable hereunder as if Application had been made by the <br />deceased Pensioner, and said benefits shall continue during said child or children’s <br />minority. <br />All applications for benefits must include a certified copy of the death certificate of the <br />pensioner. <br />Section 49 Maximum Pension Allowed if Permanently Disabled <br />If a member of this association shall become totally and permanently disabled in the line <br />of duty, the Association shall pay the amount per year of service as shown in the Annual <br />Authorization Schedule, for each year that the member served as an active firefighter in <br />the Fire Department, without regard to minimum or partial vesting requirements. <br />“Totally and permanently” shall be determined by a physician or surgeon acceptable to <br />the Board of Trustees, who shall certify that such disability will permanently prevent that <br />member from performing the member’s duties in the Fire Department. The member shall <br />be eligible to receive the disability benefit immediately upon approval of the Board of <br />Trustees, as provided in their policy statement. <br />Section 50 Moved to Section 64 <br />Section 51 Moved to Section 64 <br />MEMBERSHIP AND FUNDING <br />Section 52A Membership and Dues <br />All active part-time of the Roseville Fire Department, who are not participants in a City <br />of Roseville endorsed Pension alternative including all eligible part-time members on <br />approved leave of absence from the Roseville Fire Department shall be eligible to <br />membership in said Association upon the payment of such dues as may be determined by <br />the Board of Trustees, payable annually at or before the regular annual meeting of said <br />Association. <br />Section 52B Membership and Dues <br />No person who is employed or serving as a full-time employee of the Roseville Fire <br />Department or who is serving as a substitute volunteer firefighter shall be deemed to be a <br />member of this Association. The Board of Trustees may exclude from membership in <br />this Association any applicant who, due to some medically determinable physical or <br />mental impairment or condition, would constitute for the Association a predictable and <br />unwarranted risk of the commencement of a retirement benefit at an age earlier than fifty <br /> <br />
